APS Employee Census results
The Australian Public Service (APS) Employee Census (the Census) surveys all APS employees between May and June each year on important workforce issues such as job satisfaction, employee engagement, performance management, leadership, and general impressions of the APS.
2024 Census results
This year we achieved a Census response rate of 98%. The results from this survey provide crucial insights of our current workforce environment, helping us identify our strengths and areas for improvement.
Our results reflect a workforce highly committed to the purpose of the Australian Public Service (APS) and the purpose of the DTA. With 92% strongly believing in the purpose and objectives of the APS, and 83% strongly believing in the purpose and objectives of the DTA.
We had positive immediate manager scores, with 89% saying their immediate manager models our agency values and behaviours, and 85% stating they believe their immediate supervisor cares about employee health and wellbeing.
