The DTA will develop guidance to help agencies understand reuse and what needs to be done at each stage of the digital and ICT investment lifecycle.

A range of tools will also be available to help agencies comply with the policy.

How will it be applied?

The policy will become applicable for all relevant 2022-23 budget proposals.

To the extent possible, compliance mechanisms will use existing processes to limit additional work for agencies.

What you need to do

If you are involved in a digital or ICT proposal you should engage with the DTA as early as possible to ensure you understand what you need to do about reuse. If you are working on an ICT enabled program or project you should also let the DTA know about any element of your work that can reused by others.
