Opportunity to deliver a coaching program for ‘Women in digital’

19 June 2020

We are looking for a provider to help us deliver a coaching, and networking program for EL1 women working in digital.

The program will help women develop their digital leadership skills and create networks to support them as leaders in their careers.

Our goal is to build the digital capability of the Australian Public Service (APS) to deliver better government services. This program aims to support women working in digital, increase the number of women in key leadership positions, and to encourage diversity in APS digital roles.

Opportunity and closing date

The opportunity is listed on the Digital Marketplace. The revised 'Ask the Market' closing date is Friday 26 June, 2020 at 6pm (AEST). If you are not on the Digital Marketplace you should register as a seller as soon as possible. Please note the Digital Marketplace assessment and approval process can take around 2 weeks, so you will need to allow for this.

Program objectives

The women in digital coaching program provides participants with:

  • the guidance, tools and support needed to flourish as leaders in the digital age
  • assistance to further improve their effectiveness at their current level
  • guidance on transitioning back into the workforce and flexible work arrangements (if required)
  • information to help accelerate their promotion into senior roles (if desired)
  • learning opportunities and collaborative relationships with peers and senior leaders in coaching sessions

This Program will run alongside other DTA learning and development programs, including the executive mentoring program for women in digital.

Industry briefing and new closing date

The Industry Briefing, which was planned to take place on Thursday 11 June 2020, was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We will release an ‘Industry Brief Document’, on the Digital Marketplace on Friday 19 June 2020, in-lieu of a face-to-face or virtual meeting. No further industry briefing will take place.

Questions

If you have any questions about the details in the ‘Industry Brief Document’ please contact the DTA through the Digital Marketplace. Questions close on Monday 22 June 2020 at 6pm (AEST). To qualify for responding to this opportunity, you must be an approved seller on the Digital Marketplace.

This is an exciting opportunity to further develop women’s leadership in the APS. Ideas for creative program structures, formats, technology, and mixed offerings are all welcome.
