Introducing the Azure Technical Academy for Federal Government

23 April 2020

The DTA has worked with Microsoft to establish a program for facilitated Azure cloud training that can be undertaken while remote working.

Cloud technology training

This agreed program of learning is being made available to Federal Government staff in technical ICT roles. The training will be delivered virtually so it can be accessed during this period where more staff are working remotely.

Training is provided as a benefit of the DTA led Microsoft Whole of Government Agreement.

The aim of the Azure Technical Academy is to build digital skills in the Australian Public Service through technical training in cloud technology. Microsoft’s Gold Learning Partner DDLS will be leading the Azure role-based training.

There is also an Azure Fundamentals course being made available. It is targeted at those needing a foundational level of knowledge of cloud services, being provided with Microsoft Azure.

All training includes exam vouchers to receive Microsoft Certification.

How do I get access?

Instructions on how to register for the Azure Technical Academy Training are being shared with your agency via its Microsoft account representative. If you are unsure on who your account representative is or you haven’t received this information, please contact the DTA at AzureTraining@DTA.gov.au

Training seats are limited, and courses have currently been planned for October, November, December. They will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Registration details for the Azure Fundamentals training are on the Microsoft Azure registration page.
