Help us make buying digital simpler, clearer and faster
10 December 2018
We’re updating the way government buys digital products and services. Part of this means improving government’s digital sourcing capability.
Last week, we asked you to tell us how you reach sourcing decisions when buying digital products and services for government. We’d now like your thoughts on our proposed changes to buying digital in government.
We’re seeking feedback from public servants who buy digital products and services and businesses who sell ICT to government. Based on user research and feedback, we’ve come up with some ways to improve the procurement process and uplift capability.
We’re proposing changes around these themes:
- simplification of procurement practices
- creation of an information hub
- production of guidance and tools
- creation of learning and development support
- communities of practice
- coaching and mentoring
Read about our ideas for capability uplift and send us your feedback by 5pm on 11 January 2019. If you are unable to access the page, email ictprocurement@dta.gov.au with your responses to the following questions:
-
Are there any activities missing from this list that you/your agency needs for your digital journey?
-
Do you consider any items listed here unnecessary or undesirable? If so, why?
-
Would you be willing to sit on a working group for any of these activities?
-
Do you have any other comments?
