Cloud Services Panel awards over $100 million in contracts
19 December 2018
The Cloud Services Panel has reached a significant milestone, awarding contracts in excess of $100 million across 201 opportunities since launch.
The panel is the go-to sourcing channel for government agencies looking for cloud services. It provides buyers with access to emerging and innovative sellers across multiple categories such as storage, customer relationship management solutions and specialist consulting services. 91 agencies have released quote requests through the panel, with over 1300 users currently registered from all tiers of government.
The panel has more than 170 vendors and offers more than 500 products and services that comply with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cloud Computing Standards.
The panel’s service catalogue is constantly changing, with new services added every month. Existing services are also regularly updated, and sellers are able to propose new services and categories without waiting for a panel refresh.
Government can access the Cloud Services Panel through the DTA’s procurement portal. Work is currently underway to update the portal in response to user feedback to make access clearer and easier.
The panel has opened for new sellers twice since it launched. From 2019, the panel will open more regularly, using online submissions and agile evaluation methods to make joining the panel simpler and faster for buyers and sellers.
