New DTA and SAP agreement
5 June 2024
The Digital Transformation Agency has signed a new Whole of Government agreement with SAP, to continue Commonwealth’s access to SAP software and services.
On 24 May 2024 the DTA signed a new arrangement with SAP Australia Pty Ltd. The new arrangement offers the continuation of software services for those agencies currently using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems under the existing arrangement.
Angela Colantuono, President and Managing Director, SAP Australia and New Zealand says, “Today’s announcement of a new Whole of Government arrangement represents the long-standing relationship between SAP and the Australian Government. This arrangement will provide agencies with the ability to modernise the full breadth of their business applications including in Cloud ERP. The arrangement will also enable incremental innovations, including AI.”
The new initial three-year agreement, valued at approximately $152 million, will commence on 29 June 2024. The new arrangement includes offerings for software, cloud services and professional services.
“The arrangement will ensure that Commonwealth agencies continue to have access to SAP products, services and support, providing them with the necessary time to plan their ERP uplift programs, in line with the Governments recently announced APS ERP approach, within the safe and agreed terms of the new arrangement.” said Chris Fechner, DTA CEO.
